Mother Nature was good to us.

Our big accomplishment this weekend was filling in the back-fill from the foundation dig. With 23 degree temperatures, it was the perfect weekend to work outside. Sunday morning was so peaceful, we were digging before any of the neighbors were out - and with the birds chirping it almost sounded like being at the lake (distant cars and buses kind of sound like waves).

Does anyone know where we can recycle concrete?

The last wheelbarrow full.

It may just look like dirt to you, but it took a lot of shoveling to fill that baby.

I'm leggy...

Pretty.

Snowy Interlude

Calgary had it's spring snow storm last Thursday, the snow was gone the next day and the following weekend temperature made it up to 23 degrees. I have to say, the snow put me in a fantastic mood all day. The heavy snow (and late co-workers) reminded me of the "Snow Days" in Winnipeg...where the snow was so thick, we didn't have to go to school. Good times.

This is what we woke up to in the morning.

Buddy...are you really going to bike in this?

Slowly, but surely...

We added additional insulation stop to allow for 12" of blow-in insulation.

New high efficiency furnace! 92.5 efficient, to be exact.

Brand new ductwork, nice and clean...

Yep, we're still having fun.

"X" marks the spot. Dig, Klumper, dig...
